Overview of the BISSELL Little Green Multi-Purpose Portable Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner
This compact cleaner is designed for tackling smaller carpet and upholstery messes without the bulk of a full-size machine. It offers strong suction and works on various surfaces such as carpets, stairs, car interiors, and upholstery.
The unit is lightweight and portable, making it easy to maneuver in tight spaces. Its sizeable tank allows for extended cleaning sessions before refilling. While it handles stains and odors effectively with the right cleaning solutions, some users report occasional water leakage issues.
Key points:
- Portable and user-friendly for spot cleaning
- Effective at removing pet stains and odors
- Suitable for multiple surface types
- Tank capacity supports longer use
- Some concerns about water control during operation
Powerful Suction Performance
The Little Green delivers suction strong enough to tackle small spot cleaning tasks on carpets and upholstery, including pet stains and car interiors. Its ability to lift dirt and moisture is effective for quick cleanups without soaking surfaces excessively.
Some users note the suction can struggle with very deep or large messes, requiring multiple passes. However, for its size and portable design, it generally performs well at removing embedded stains and debris. The suction power balances cleaning with ease of handling, making it suitable for targeted, repeated use rather than whole-room cleaning.
Portable and Versatile Design
The compact size and lightweight build make this cleaner easy to carry around and use in tight spaces. It’s designed to tackle a variety of surfaces, from carpets and upholstery to car interiors, which adds to its flexibility.
That said, the corded power source means we need access to an outlet during use, which can limit mobility compared to battery-operated models. Its portability is strong for home and car cleaning but less suited for extended outdoor or remote use without power.
Large Tank Capacity
The cleaner’s tank size allows for extended cleaning sessions without frequent stops for refills. This is particularly useful when tackling multiple spots or larger areas like car seats and upholstery.
However, the tank’s volume is balanced to keep the unit portable and easy to handle. While it may not hold as much liquid as bigger, non-portable models, it supports efficient cleaning in a compact form.
Overall, the tank capacity suits its handheld design, offering a practical middle ground between cleaning power and convenience.
Effective Stain And Odor Removal
When it comes to tackling stains and odors, this cleaner offers solid performance on small to medium messes. Its suction effectively lifts dirt and pet stains from carpets and upholstery, especially when paired with the recommended cleaning formula.
However, users note that while it handles spot cleaning well, it may require repeated passes on older, set-in stains. Odor removal is generally positive but can vary depending on the severity and type of odor.
Overall, it’s a practical choice for quick stain and odor cleanup without the bulk of larger machines.
Pet Foundation Support
Supporting animal welfare is a notable aspect of this cleaner’s background. A portion of each sale goes to the BISSELL Pet Foundation, which focuses on helping homeless pets find safe homes.
This connection adds a layer of value beyond the cleaning capabilities. While it doesn’t affect product performance directly, it may appeal to buyers who want to contribute to pet causes.
Key point:
- Buying this cleaner indirectly aids animal rescue efforts, reflecting a socially conscious choice for pet owners.
Ease Of Use For Quick Cleanups
When dealing with quick messes, the cleaner’s portability and tank size make a noticeable difference. Its compact design lets us move easily between surfaces without hassle, while the 48 oz. tank reduces interruptions for refills during short cleaning sessions.
However, some users note that handling water spills can be tricky, and a careful approach is needed to avoid leaks. The included specialty tools help reach tight spots, making small, targeted cleanups simpler but may require patience for thorough drying time on upholstery.
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Lightweight and portable | Occasional water leakage |
| Large tank for longer sessions | Drying time can be slow |
| Useful attachments for detail work | Requires careful handling |
